I was always lusting for a signature black leather jacket but none have caught my eye until one day I was just randomly walking into a Zara store and I fell in love at first sight with one that was on display. Oh, the buttery leather that’s soft to touch and not over the top with zippers. I had this mantra that if it is still on my mind after one day, I’ll get it, if it’s not then it would be an impulse buy. True enough, I got it a few days later while shopping with my colleagues, as if I needed extra words of encouragement to just get it. Like what Gollum would say, the leather jacket is now my precious.

I took it out for a spin last friday night even though it was just going to be a Friday Girls Night In¬†with the girls Carrie, Eileen and Christel at Christel’s place but I remembered I was excitedly telling Carrie, “I’m going to dress up so we can have a photoshoot!” It was how The Cambelles started when both of us would come together every once in awhile for a mini photoshoot or outfit of the day.

My arm candy of the night was my favourite purchase from my trip to Paris was my YSL Chyc Clutch in black textured leather and gold toned metal Y logo.

Never be afraid to break the boundaries and rules in fashion. Be confident and make yourself stand out. As if a leather jacket, bold gold statement necklace and red lipstick was not enough, I put on a pair of red studded heels to complete the look.

And that was how the magic was made, with just 2 minutes at a random stairwell with Carrie the maestro in her Sony A7, looks like we’ve still got it.¬†
