World of Sports has been fitting us in the most gorgeous but functional sportswear. In December, we decided to check out World of Sports, picking out our favourite pieces to start #fitness2014 in.

It’s easier to stay motivated if you feel comfortable in what you work out in. Nothing deters me from working out more than uncomfortable sportswear (e.g. Way too sexy short FBTs – been there, hated that). I find it so important to not feel restricted especially if something you’re wearing is making you feel very self-conscious.

Here are some of the great fashionable pieces to rock out in this year while you sweat buckets getting into the best shape of your life!

“In The Pink”

I really do love pops of pink and fuschia in my workout attire. It totally brightens my mood!

I’m wearing the Brooks Glycerin II Printed Sports Bra ($59.90) and Mizuno Drylite Ladies Performance 3/4 Tights ($49.90).

After fitting various bras, I decided on the Brooks Glycerin II Printed Sports Bra.

I chose it for its flattering cut, comfortable and supporting fit, fun print and stunning colour. I also only choose bras that are suitable for high impact activities and this one from Brooks is definitely  great for that – especially running which is my preferred form of cardiovascular activity.

I found that this sports bra is excellent at keeping my skin dry. I can work up a pretty mean sweat these days and its really so much more comfortable when you have an absorbent bra that keeps moisture away from your skin!

In addition, this bra is seam-free and the shaped cups are also very flattering offering a subtle lift and contouring. Very minimal of course, but I like how it looks good because the neckline isn’t too low or high.

The Brooks Glycerin II Printed sports bra also features a double-strap racerback. The racerback cut really allows me to move around more freely and at the same time increase ventilation.

I chose the Mizuno DryLite Ladies Performance 3/4 Tights because I already own another pair Mizuno tights. I used to pretty much live on sports shorts, but after my first pair from Mizuno, I was sold! Compared to my short wearing days, I felt so dry and didn’t feel sticky at all, thanks to Mizuno DryLite moisture management technology. To make things even more comfortable the Dynamotion Fit patterning allows for better anatomical fit of the tights and offers even more freedom of movement.

Rachie’s choice of pink is in this Moving Comfort Vixen A/B sports bra ($49.90). Moving Comfort is one of our latest loves. They really take the cake when it comes to offering uncompromising comfort and support.

The Moving Comfort Vixen A/B sports bra is suitable for medium to high impact activities, fitting perfectly into Rachie’s fitness routines from yoga to muay thai classes.

This one also has moderate-contoured seam-free cups for a more enhancing fit. The v-neck line also makes this very appealing with flattering front piping. The Moving Comfort Vixen A/B sports bra boasts a unique DriLayer Powermesh back.

Keep it All In

I now get everything packed for a day at the gym in my trusty Mizuno MCC Colors Handbag ($99.90). The bag has a padded strap making it anti-slip and easy on the shoulders to carry around all day.

It’s a decent size good for a pair of shoes, change of clothes, make up bag, water bottle and still have plenty of space. It’s not big enough for my gloves to fit too, but it’s a suitable size otherwise for gym. It also comes with a shoe “dust bag” and has an inner lining that is waterproof!

Light-weight, High Support

Both Rachie and I got the Moving Comfort Charity sports bra ($62.90). I have been eyeing this model for ages and was so excited to finally get it in December!

It was love at first fit. It’s extremely comfortable even without padding. The lack of padding (it has an airy liner instead) makes it extremely light-weight and smooth.

In particular, I really love the wide shaped straps that provide great comfort even when doing high impact sports (e.g. cycling, running, tennis, soccer etc).

Similar to the Vixen A/B, the Charity sports bra has a Back Powermesh zone which provides ventilation to keep cool. This is definitely one of my favourite sports bras.

#Fitness2014 Giveaway

We’re giving away this POW’R JUMP jumprope worth $25.90 compliments of World of Sports!

Skipping is a great cardiovascular workout. I’ve noticed that since I started training with Evolve MMA (and am forced to skip at least for 5 – 10 minutes at the start of each class), my stamina has greatly improved.

You can actually work your entire body with a toning session of jumprope. On top of that, it definitely improves your coordination.

All you got to do is post a photo of yourself in your favourite workout garb on instagram and hashtag it with #getfitwithworldofsports and #fitness2014 with a short description of your fitness goals for this year. We’ll pick one winner! Winner will be contacted via Instagram and announced on our Facebook page.

Giveaway closes 3 February 2014.
